With this cozy cottage you benefit from a quiet lot, AND a location close to shopping, restaurants, the beach, and all the sights Kennebunk and Kennebunkport have to offer. Built in 2008, this cottage features granite counters, hardwood floors, antiques, a washer/dryer, and a patio with barbecue grill. Linens can be provided for an additional fee. Located just one mile from the ocean and steps away from The Port, this cottage is a cozy, affordable Maine getaway.The owners will provide a parking pass for the Kennebunk beaches if you choose to drive the approximate 1 mile to the beach. There is a beautiful pitch n putt and driving range next door which is closed at night, so it is very quiet. The cottage is located approximately 250 yards from the main road up a dirt driveway. The owners also own the antique store next door which is open 7 days per week in the summer and live 1/2 mile from the cottage. They and their employees are available to answer questions and provide information on great restaurants and other amenities in the Kennebunks. The neighborhood and its location is unique. There is both open space afforded by fields and trees on the property and the pitch n' putt course/driving range next door and its proximity to Lower Village in Kennebunk and Dock Square in Kennebunkport with lots of great shopping, restaurants, golf and ocean activities ranging from wonderful beaches, whale watching, kayaking, sailing and fishing trips, all the while keeping an eye out for past presidents who summer in the surrounding area. There are trolleys which will take you to Kennebunkport and neighboring towns, such as Wells and Ogunquit. Nearest trolley stop is about 1/4 mile towards Kennebunkport. You can also rent guided horse-drawn carriage rides around the 'Port to learn about its history.Saturday-Saturday rentals only. We want you to have fun but not at the expense of other tenants. We expect to be notified in advance if the you are expecting to have more than a half-dozen or so guests for a get together, and that in any event, most noise will abate by 10:00 PM. Smoking in the cottage is prohibited. one (1) dog will be considered on a case by case basis ie size, crating, barking, furniture etc in Sailaway and Landho and if accepted there is an additional $250 pet deposit (total $500 security deposit) and a $100 cleaning fee. Check-in: 4:00pm Check-out: 11:00am.
